In 1852 was founded The Inns of Court School of Law – one of the first law school in London. In 2001 it became the part of the city. Among the graduates are Herbert Henry Asquith, prime minister of the UK. He was one of the first leader to graduate from City Law School. In 1877 Bartholomew nursing school was founded, which is connected to the oldest hospital, Saint Bartholomew. The nursing college after became the part of the City health and psychology college.
After the great progress, city joined the London institution federation in 2016. After that city has changed its name and became City, University of London.
